Yesterday for the second day in a row, a group of World War II veterans took down a barrier preventing them from entering the memorial in Washington, D.C. It had been blocked because of the government shutdown.
Yesterday, Rep. Michele Bachmann rushed to the aid of a number of World War II veterans who were being barricaded from entering the memorial site in Washington, D.C. because of the government shutdown. Bachmann described the scene on America Newsroom this morning saying that there were 84 to 99-year-old veterans being held outside barricades.
