Texas police are on high alert amid new threats from biker gangs.
Police say tensions have eased up since Sunday's deadly brawl between motorcycle gangs in Waco, Texas. But they warn that the gruesome shootout that left nine people dead and 18 injured was likely not the end of violence between biker gangs.
So far today, we've seen some incredible videos and eyewitness accounts of the massive explosion at a fertilizer plant in West, Texas. Bill Hemmer talked to West resident Tina Kolar, who lives just two blocks away from the plant where a fire started Wednesday night.
Here is the latest information we have out of West, Texas, after a deadly explosion at a fertilizer plant. Firefighters were at the facility battling a fire when the explosion - which had the force of a small earthquake - happened. Four firefighters are still unaccounted for. Police say as many as 15 people may have died, with 160 injured. In the amazing video below, a man records the fire on his cell phone while sitting in his vehicle with his young child, when the plant suddenly exploded. The video also contains a 911 call from the scene shortly after the blast.
Moments ago, Sgt. Patrick Swanton of the Waco Police Department provided an update on the search and rescue effort following a massive blast at a Texas fertilizer plant.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is reporting that there have been two major explosions at a fertilizer plant near Waco, Texas. Emergency crews are responding. There are reportedly major injuries and multiple structures involved.
