Two daredevil filmmakers ventured 1,200 feet inside a volcano's fiery crater and lived to tell the story. On Fox and Friends this morning, Sam Cossman and George Kourounis shared what it was like to journey to one of the most dangerous and inaccessible areas on the planet, the Marum volcano on the remote island of Vanuatu in the South Pacific, which they described as being like a “window into hell.”
The full fury of mother nature was on display on Aug. 29 during the eruption of Mount Tavurvur in Papua New Guinea. Following the devastating force of the volcanic blast, which sent lava spewing hundreds of feet in the air and a plume of ash billowing tens of thousands of feet into the sky, a sonic boom shook the surrounding area for miles.
A massive volcano in Japan erupted for the 500th time this year! The eruption occurred in the southwestern portion of the country. The nearby city of Kagoshima was covered in ash, but there are no reported injuries.
