The Guardian newspaper revealed Edward Snowden as the source behind the leaks on the United States’ surveillance program. The British newspaper said Snowden is a 29-year-old American who works as a contractor at the National Security Agency, which is collecting the phone and computer data of millions of Americans. He’s also a former CIA employee.
The entire House of Representatives will be briefed behind closed doors this Tuesday on the NSA’s surveillance program. One of the lawmakers invited to attend is New York Congressman Peter King (R). He said today on America’s News HQ that he supports the president on this matter. “Let’s never forget what happened on September 11. I went to too many wakes and funerals. That’s why I am supporting what the president is attempting to do here.”
Fox News has confirmed that the Obama administration will likely open a criminal investigation into the NSA leaks that revealed widespread government surveillance on Americans’ phone calls and Internet activity.
