The man accused of killing a TSA agent at Los Angeles International Airport pleaded not guilty today.
According to new reports, it took paramedics 33 minutes to reach TSA agent Gerardo Hernandez, who became the first agent to die in the line of duty during a shooting at Los Angeles International Airport two weeks ago.
The suspected LAX shooter has been charged with the murder of a TSA agent. Paul Ciancia, 23, allegedly opened fire at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday, killing Gerardo Hernandez and injuring others.
New video has emerged from the shooting at Los Angeles International Airport. A gunman opened fire on Friday, killing a TSA agent and wounding six others.
Patrick Gannon, chief of airport police, said the shooter pulled an assault rifle out of a bag and began shooting in Terminal 3. Gannon said the gunman made his way to the checkpoint area and continued shooting beyond the secure area.
A law enforcement source tells Catherine Herridge that a TSA agent has been killed in the shooting and that multiple other agents have also been injured. When asked to specify the numbers, the sources said “about a handful.”
Witnesses, including Fox Sports columnist Bill Reiter, described a frightening and chaotic scene at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) this morning as a gunman opened fire, wounding a TSA agent.
The shooter was also wounded and taken into custody.
