Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk praised Vice President Mike Pence for his commencement address at Liberty University Saturday, in which Pence defended traditional Christian beliefs and warned graduates about ridicule from the "secular left."

“Some of the loudest voices for tolerance today have little tolerance for traditional Christian beliefs,” the vice president warned graduating seniors of the Christian university, according to the Washington Times. “So as you go about your daily life, just be ready.”

On "Fox & Friends First" Monday, Kirk said he, like Pence, is a "Christian, American and conservative, in that order."

"Christians all across the country, all across the world are under attack," Kirk said. "His warning is something that we as Christians understand."

He said that the Trump administration has the back of Christians, and vice versa, and it's more important that ever as anti-Christian "animosity" is on the rise.

Kirk echoed Pence's warning, saying, "The most in intolerant people in the world are those that preach tolerance."

"This is something that is really concerning that needs to be talked about," Kirk said. "And thank you to Vice President Mike Pence for making these amazing comments at Liberty University recently, because I don't think that the struggle's going to go anywhere anytime soon."
