Just one day before the release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report, Rep. Peter King said he expects that Democrats will "hang their hat" on allegations that President Trump obstructed justice.

Appearing on "America's Newsroom" Wednesday, King (R-N.Y.) explained that Attorney General William Barr's summary of Mueller's findings made it clear to him that there is no evidence of any collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

He noted that some Democrats have speculated that there is some evidence of collusion, but not enough to bring a criminal.

"No, nothing at all as far as collusion," King said. "As far as obstruction of justice, I think probably there'll be elements in there. Was firing James Comey obstruction of justice? Was criticizing the Mueller investigation obstruction of justice?"

He said he believes those actions were "absolutely not" obstruction, but he expects Democrats to "hang their hat" on those allegations and the redactions in the report.

"No matter what's redacted, they're gonna say that's the evidence of conspiracy and the attorney general is covering up," King said. "I think this is gonna blow up in the Democrats' face, if they try to make more of it."
