In her First Thoughts on Fox Nation, Tomi Lahren blasted politicians on both sides of the aisle who want to restore voting rights to convicted felons.

"Grandpa Socialist has always fought for voting rights for convicted felons, but now he's pushing for more -- voting from behind bars," Lahren said of 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

Lahren noted that Sanders recently told an Iowa crowd that it's "absolutely the direction we should go." Two states, Vermont and Maine, allow incarcerated individuals to cast ballots.

Lahren also took issue with Iowa's Republican governor, Kim Reynolds, for trying to "change the state constitution to restore voting rights to former felons."

"Thank goodness her fellow Republicans in the state Senate stopped it," Lahren said.

"I’m sick of this redemption B.S. You want redemption? Serve your time and pay the consequences, which includes getting some of your rights taken away," Lahren said.

"Tell that to the families whose loved ones were brutally murdered by one of your precious felons."

Lahren also criticized the First Step Act, signed by President Trump, which gives some inmates the ability to be released early under certain conditions.
