Former Starbucks CEO: two-party system is 'broken.'
Fox News Channel will present a town hall with former Starbucks CEO and potential 2020 independent presidential candidate Howard Schultz, tonight at 6:30pm ET.
The live event, co-anchored by "Special Report" host Bret Baier and "The Story" host Martha MacCallum, in Kansas City, Missouri, will focus on Schultz’s potential candidacy and the issues he plans to tackle.
Ahead of the town hall presentation, Fox News Channel will feature a 30-minute edition of "Special Report," where Baier will inform viewers of the latest regarding the 2020 presidential election. After the event, at 7:30pm ET, MacCallum will break down the news from the town hall with top newsmakers and analysts during an abbreviated version of "The Story."
Schultz appeared on "Fox & Friends" earlier this week and said he's considering running as an independent because he believes the two-party system is "broken."
"We can't have a moral society if we don't have a moral government. Every step of the way, with $22 trillion of national debt, an immigration policy that is broken, health care policy, education issues, our standing in the world," Schultz said.
"I think the American people are searching for a longing of truth, ought thin activity, obviously -- authenticity and obviously policies that can be passed.“
He said he believes the Democratic candidates who have thrown their hats in the race are well-intentioned and love America, but their policies are "out of touch."
