Schiff Blasts 'Unpatriotic' Actions of Trump Campaign, Insists 'Collusion' With Russia Occurred
Trump, House Republicans call for Schiff's resignation.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff ripped Republican committee members for demanding his resignation, and blasted Donald Trump Jr. for actions he claimed showed direct evidence of Russian collusion.
After Committee Member Mike Conaway (R-Texas) called for Schiff (D-Calif.) to resign from the leadership post, the Burbank Democrat returned fire.
"Instead of addressing this hearing, [you] attack me -- consistent with the president's attacks," Schiff fumed.
"My colleagues may think it's OK that the Russians offered dirt on a Democratic candidate for president. You might think it's OK when that was offered to the son of the president, that president's son did not call the FBI -- that that son said he would love to help the Russians," Schiff continued.
Mueller did not find sufficient evidence to establish conspiracy, notwithstanding Russian offers to help Trump’s campaign, their acceptance, and a litany of concealed interactions with Russia.
I trust Mueller’s prosecutorial judgement, but the country must see the evidence.

Continuing to refer to him without mentioning his name, Schiff said Donald Trump Jr. intentionally took a meeting with a Russian lawyer in hopes of obtaining "dirt" on Hillary Clinton.
Schiff said Trump Jr. lied about the meeting and allowed his father to "help dictate that lie."
The actions of those under investigation were "immoral, unethical, unpatriotic and corrupt," Schiff said.
He said he accepts Special Counsel Robert Mueller's final word on the matter, but that if the GOP or people within Trump's orbit think the actions that transpired are "OK," then "America has lost its way."
Trump blasted Schiff Thursday morning in a tweet, accusing him of knowingly "lying and leaking" and said he should resign from Congress.
Congressman Adam Schiff, who spent two years knowingly and unlawfully lying and leaking, should be forced to resign from Congress!

Later in the hearing, Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio) said Russia is getting "everything it wanted" by watching the American political system divide itself in this way.
