"The Next Revolution" host Steve Hilton said on "Outnumbered" that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi privately knows that an attempt to impeach President Trump is a "losing proposition" but that her base is demanding it.

Melissa Francis reported that freshman Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) is pushing ahead with a resolution to determine if Trump committed impeachable offenses, while Pelosi held a meeting with top caucus members to discuss how impeachment is not the top priority at this time.

Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) told reporters that his latest impeachment attempt will go forward because Robert Mueller's investigation into alleged collusion with Russia did not focus on Trump's "bigotry."

"Bigotry [is] emanating from the president's policies," he said.

Hilton slammed Green, saying that if he thinks Trump is a bigot, "beat him in an election."

"Nancy Pelosi knows impeachment is a losing proposition, [but] the base wants it," he said.

Lisa Boothe added that Pelosi and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairwoman Cheri Bustos (D-Ill.) said they are not worried about Tlaib but more concerned with keeping newly-flipped Democrat seats in areas with tough reelection outlooks.
