OneClass content manager and blogger Jerry Zheng said Monday on "Starnes Country" on Fox Nation that the negative treatment right-leaning students are getting on college campuses are resulting in "closet conservatives."

Zheng said that his own research showed that less than half of conservatives students "feel safe on campus."

"Most feel unwelcome," he said.

Zheng said that a high number of students who participated in his survey said they wouldn't even share their conservative views with friends for fear of blowback.

He said such a phenomenon has resulted in "closet conservatives" -- or students who keep their right-leaning views to themselves among a sea of left-wing progressive or liberal students at American colleges.

Zheng said those students fear "being cast with damning labels."
