In her First Thoughts on Fox Nation, Tomi Lahren warned about the growing socialist movement in the Democratic Party.

She said "radical leftist" proposals -- like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's (D-N.Y.) sweeping "Green New Deal -- may seem extreme and unlikely, but many Democrats support them, and the party's agenda is moving further and further to the left.

She noted that Ocasio-Cortez's proposal calls for a slew of extreme agenda items, including a full phase-out of fossil fuels, health care for all Americans and economic security for all who are "unable or unwilling to work."

"At first glance, most of us would think this plan's far-fetched, unrealistic, unlikely and even too extreme for the Democrats. Well, not so," Tomi said.

She said that while Ocasio-Cortez's policy proposals may come off as ignorant, they are also calculated, and many on the left back them.

She added that Ocasio-Cortez is far from the only Democrat to push a far-left, progressive agenda, pointing to freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (Minn.), California Gov. Gavin Newsom and 2020 presidential candidates Sens. Kamala Harris (Calif.) and Cory Booker (N.J.).

"Now, I obviously don't particularly like Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer, but they look reasonable compared to what we are up against with these new socialist clowns," Tomi said. "See, they don't just want votes and power, they want a complete restructuring of everything American. And they will do whatever it takes to get it."
