Todd Starnes said Monday on "Starnes Country" on Fox Nation that he will not accept Rep. Ilhan Omar's apology after she made anti-Semitic remarks and accused a pro-Israel organization of effectively paying off Republicans for their support.

Starnes noted the "bipartisan outrage" following Omar's criticism of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), including from former first daughter Chelsea Clinton.

House GOP Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney of Wyoming called for Omar to be removed from the foreign relations committee, Starnes noted, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has not yet taken any such action.

"Anti-Semitism is real and I am grateful for Jewish allies and colleagues who are educating me on the painful history of anti-Semitic tropes," Omar, a Minneapolis Democrat, wrote in a statement apologizing for her remarks.

"Apology not accepted," Starnes said. "It's really not good enough."

Starnes said that going back as far as 2012, Ilhan made controversial remarks about the state of Israel, comparing the nation to what he called the "theocracy in Iran."
