Syndicated radio host Dana Loesch said Saturday night on Justice With Judge Jeanine that the socialist platform on which Sen. Kamala Harris stands, poses an "existential threat" to Americans' Second Amendment rights.

Harris (D-Calif.) announced last month that she is running for president in 2020, and recently urged a ban on "assault weapons" at a town hall event.

"There is no reason in a civil society that we have assault weapons around communities that can kill babies and police officers," Harris said at the Jan. 29 event.

The senator is also a co-sponsor of Sen. Diane Feinstein's Assault Weapons Ban of 2019 bill, which aims to "ban the sale, transfer, manufacture and importation of military-style assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines."

Loesch suggested Sunday that some gun-owning Democrats may not feel like they have a home within their party due to its shift toward more far-left policies.

"There are a lot of people that feel politically homeless, so to speak," she said.

Loesch also pointed out Harris' support of the radical Green New Deal, which aims to combat climate change.

The resolution would move the U.S. to rely solely on renewable energy and also promises "economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work."

Loesch said that the Democrats who have announced 2020 presidential bids are "super far-left, anti-gun" and "anti-individual freedom."
