During President Trump's first address in 2018 he thanked fire technician David Dahlberg, who rescued 62 children and staff members from a wildfire in Santa Barbara, California.
"The entire room looked directly at me," Dahlberg recalled. "I cannot put anything into words with how amazing of an experience and how honored I was to be there that day."
Trump used Dahlberg and other heroes last year as examples of how there are no people more "fearless, daring or determined than Americans."
"If there is a mountain, we climb it," he said. "If there's a frontier, we cross it. If there's a challenge, we tame it. If there's an opportunity, we seize it."
The president is set to deliver his second State of the Union address Tuesday night, after a tense back-and-forth with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during the partial government shutdown.
The president's speech is expected to focus heavily on illegal immigration and his desire to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. Tune in to Fox News Channel Tuesday night as Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum co-anchor special coverage beginning at 8:55 p.m. ET. After the address, catch must-see analysis from Chris Wallace, Dana Perino, Juan Williams and Brit Hume.
