Does anyone care about the Academy Awards anymore?

That's what Fox Nation's Raymond Arroyo wanted to find out, so he hit the streets of Washington, D.C.

The nominees for Best Picture were announced earlier this week, but the people Arroyo spoke to had not seen the vast majority of them.

"Black Panther"
"BlackKklansman"
"Bohemian Rhapsody"
"The Favourite"
"Green Book"
"Roma"
"A Star Is Born"
"Vice"

Perhaps not surprisingly, the Marvel superhero flick "Black Panther" -- which made $800 million at the box office -- was far and away the most common response.

One woman expressed no interest in the fact that the awards show does not have a host this year, saying, "I mean, I'm not watching it."

Arroyo asked one man if the Oscars have the same power and influence they once did.

"No, it doesn't," the man responded. "What the film creators are deeming as what is best and what the fans want as best are very different."
