Trump Jr. Reacts to Mueller Disputing BuzzFeed Report, Accuses Schiff of Leaks
In an exclusive interview Monday on The Ingraham Angle, Donald Trump Jr. reacted to Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team disputing a BuzzFeed News report that claims his father directed Michael Cohen to lie to Congress.
The outlet also said that Mueller learned about Trump's direction to lie from "interviews with multiple witnesses from the Trump Organization and internal company emails, text messages, and a cache of other documents."
Mueller's team issued its first public statement in more than a year on Friday in response to the story, claiming that the characterization of Cohen's testimony was inaccurate.
Trump Jr. tweeted his initial reaction to the report as well on Friday, calling it "usual clickbait BS."
Here we go again... another CNN/Buzzfeed "bombshell" with no evidence. The usual clickbait BS... and when it fails as all the others have there will be ZERO coverage. Textbook #fakenews https://t.co/VNHN9ndz36

BuzzFeed has stood by its reporting, saying in a statement that it remains "confident in what we’ve reported, and will share more as we are able."
Trump Jr. likened the disputed report to the coverage Saturday of a confrontation between pro-Trump Kentucky high school students and a Native American man. He said in both cases, the media jumped to push the narrative they wanted to be true before waiting for the facts.
He also accused House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff of leaking information to the media in 2017 from his congressional testimony. Trump Jr. claimed the leak led to a since-retracted CNN story about his access to WikiLeaks documents.
