'It's a Farce': Webb Accuses Dems of Playing 'Stupid Games' in Border Negotiations With Trump
Fox Nation host David Webb said Monday that Democrats are trying to win their battle with President Trump on border security without actually negotiating with him.
In an effort to end the nearly month-long government shutdown, Trump proposed to Democrats temporarily extending protections for immigrants who came to the U.S. under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in exchange for $5.7 billion for his border wall.
While congressional Republicans applauded Trump's willingness to compromise with his opposing party, Democrats quickly swatted down his proposal.
What is original in the President’s proposal is not good. What is good in the proposal is not original. Democrats will vote next week to add additional border security funding for ports of entry, advanced technology for scanning vehicles for drugs & immigration judges.

"This is a stupid game. The American people are paying the price," Webb said on Outnumbered. "[Trump] is not going to give on this, because the American people deserve security and the Democrats are not willing to negotiate on things they agree with."
Former Democratic Ohio state Sen. Capri Cafaro said that Democrats need to "live in the reality" of what Trump is offering to them right now, and not what he's said in the past.
She said that rank-and-file Democrats in districts where Trump won in 2016 will begin to defect.
"There's going to come a time where there's going to be pressure from the bottom up, and some point we're going to have to move forward," she said.
Webb, who also hosts the "David Webb Show" on SiriusXM Radio, added that Democrats are now pretending to oppose the type of border security that Trump is proposing.
"It's a farce," he said. "Democrats don't want to solve the problem."
