'Just Unbelievable': Tucker Reacts After Mueller Disputes Bombshell Buzzfeed Trump Story
Tucker Carlson reacted Friday moments after Robert Mueller, through a spokesman, denied the veracity of a potentially damning Buzzfeed report about President Trump and his ex-lawyer Michael Cohen.
Peter Carr, a spokesman for the special counsel's office, said that Buzzfeed's "description of specific statements to the Special Counsel’s Office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohen’s Congressional testimony are not accurate."
Carlson reported that Buzzfeed's story claimed Trump told Cohen to lie to Congress about a plan to build a Trump Tower in Moscow. Trump has been accused of being too close with Russia's president, Vladimir Putin.
Both Buzzfeed's editor-in-chief and Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani responded to the news on Twitter:
I commend Bob Mueller’s office for correcting the BuzzFeed false story that Pres. Trump encouraged Cohen to lie. I ask the press to take heed that their hysterical desire to destroy this President has gone too far. They pursued this without critical analysis all day. #FAKENEWS

In response to the statement tonight from the Special Counsel's spokesman: We stand by our reporting and the sources who informed it, and we urge the Special Counsel to make clear what he's disputing.

Trump's critics pounced after the report broke Thursday night, arguing it could show Trump suborned perjury.
Carlson played audio from earlier Friday of Buzzfeed reporter Anthony Cormier, who said his sources are "rock solid" and that he stood behind this story "one hundred percent."

"Just unbelievable," Carlson said in response to the news.
Kevin Corke, @FoxNews “Don’t forget, Michael Cohen has already been convicted of perjury and fraud, and as recently as this week, the Wall Street Journal has suggested that he may have stolen tens of thousands of dollars....” Lying to reduce his jail time! Watch father-in-law!

"If you've been in television, you've seen a level of hysteria I've never seen in 25 years in Washington," he added.
