House Freedom Caucus member Jim Jordan said Friday on "Your World" that Democrats appear "more focused on stopping the president than helping the country."

Jordan, an Ohio Republican, said the Democrats' insistence against a border wall with Mexico and implementation of physical barriers to deter illegal immigration shows just that.

He pointed out how many top Democrats, including Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer of New York, voted in favor of wall funding in the past -- but not during the Trump administration's tenure.

"Until that changes, it's difficult to get to a solution" for the partial government shutdown, Jordan said.

He said that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's claim that a wall is "immoral" was an "amazing statement" and said that the San Franciscan's caucus showed their true colors with radical actions on the first day of the new term.

Jordan noted how Democratic Rep. Brad Sherman of Sherman Oaks, Calif. forwarded Articles of Impeachment against President Trump and Detroit Democrat Rashida Tlaib vowed to "impeach the motherf---er," in reference to the president.

He said both incidents were unhelpful to Washington discourse and deal making.
