House Republican Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney hit back at Speaker Nancy Pelosi for doubting whether Trump "knows how to deal with women in power and women with strength."

Pelosi said Thursday she is unsure whether Trump is ready for the record number of women entering Congress this term, according to Yahoo News.

Cheney, of Wyoming, said that "in my experience, powerful women ought to be concerned about the security of the nation."

The daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney referenced Pelosi's insistence that the partial government shutdown be ended without any funding appropriated toward a border wall with Mexico.

She said the California Democrat continues to act in a manner of "political partisanship and games."

Cheney said that some Democrats also sound "as socialist as some of their incoming members."
