The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation is raising money to help the family of fallen California police officer Cpl. Ronil Singh.

Singh was gunned down last week during a traffic stop. Illegal immigrant Gustavo Perez Arriaga, 33, has been charged with murder.

In the wake of the tragedy, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation -- which helps pay off mortgages for families of fallen heroes -- has raised more than $150,000 to help Singh's widow and five-month-old son.

Tunnel to Towers Chairman and CEO Frank Siller and a previous beneficiary of the Fallen First Responder Program, Pei Xia Chen, joined the "Fox & Friends" co-hosts Tuesday to discuss the fundraising effort.

Chen's husband, NYPD Det. Wenjian Liu, was ambushed and killed along with another officer in December 2014.

After his death, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation raised $1 million to pay off the mortgages on Liu's family home, with all the remaining funds going to repairs and remodeling.

Since then, Chen been active in promoting and donating to the organization.

"I have no worries about my financial matters. And this great foundation not only helped us pay off the mortgage, they also provide emotional support," Singh said. "They help me and my family ... move on in our lives without any financial worries."

Siller -- who created the foundation in memory of his firefighter brother who died as a first responder on 9/11 -- said it's a tremendous relief for grieving families not to have to worry about housing or finances.

He said as of Tuesday morning, they have raised approximately $150,000 for the Singh family, which means they are about halfway to their goal of $300,000.

He encouraged viewers to learn more and donate to the cause at

"We, as Americans, have to make a contract with our military and our police officers and our firefighters that when they go out there to protect our country and our community, that if something happens to them that we're going to stand strong with their families and take this burden off of them," Siller said.
