A Tennessee mother got the best possible Christmas surprise when her U.S. Marine son returned home for the holidays.

In a video that will surely put a smile on your face, Ethan Wilson sneaked up behind his mom, Christy, tapped her on the shoulder during a holiday party.

The jubilant mom screamed and immediately wrapped her arms around her son, crying tears of joy.

According to WCYB-TV, Ethan Wilson left his Mt. Juliet home for Marine training in September in Pensacola, Florida, and had not seen his mom since.

Ethan's twin brother, Eli, also serves in the Marines but could not travel home for Christmas.

"I cannot imagine going that long without seeing my child," remarked anchor and mom Ainsley Earhardt.
