Fox Nation Ingraham at Student Action Summit: Democrats Are Into 'Demonization,' Not Debate
#SAS2018 is streaming live on Fox Nation.
Fox News' Laura Ingraham on Friday spoke at the fourth annual Turning Point USA Student Action Summit, which is being live-streamed on Fox Nation through Saturday.
The summit has brought together prominent conservative activists and students in West Palm Beach, Florida. About 5,000 students have the opportunity hear from a powerful lineup of speakers, including Fox News and Fox Nation's own Ingraham, Pete Hegseth, Tucker Carlson, Mark Levin, Greg Gutfeld and Jesse Watters.
In her speech, Ingraham lamented the lack of substantive debate in American politics, accusing Democrats of falling back on identity politics and personal attacks.
"There's no substantive debate, really, about immigration and the wall, or what we can do to raise people's standard of living," she said, arguing that many Democrats offer criticism of President Trump's policies, but not solutions.
She said that Democrats had eight years under former President Obama to secure the border and legislate immigration reform, but they failed to do so, and now the government is on the brink of a shutdown over the border security battle.
"They're not into a debate here," Ingraham said. "They're into demonization."
She said conservatives should not play that game, and instead they should be "happy warriors" fighting for limited government and "America First" policies on foreign and domestic affairs.
