Mark Levin and historian Victor Davis Hanson -- his guest this week on "Life, Liberty & Levin" -- criticized the media's widespread "negative coverage" of President Donald Trump.

Levin noted that pundits and former officials have said several incendiary things about the president in recent months.

He said Trump has been compared to Adolf Hitler, had the administration "compared to the Third Reich" and has been accused of "creating internment camps for immigrants."

"That would actually be F.D.R., but who's counting," Levin remarked.

Hanson said that a plurality of media coverage has been negative, and criticized former DNI Jim Clapper for "calling the president treasonous."

Hanson said that when Trump is at a rally and calls the press out as an enemy, he is reacting to these types of condemnation.

"When he says 'look at those people [in the media]', he has the grounds to do that," he said.
