Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino called out Sen. Jeff Flake Saturday on Fox & Friends for requesting an FBI investigation into Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

After announcing earlier on Friday that he'd support Kavanaugh's nomination, Flake (R-Ariz.) was confronted by two female protesters in a Capitol Hill elevator.

The protesters explained that they were victims of sexual assaults and began shouting at the senator because of his expected vote.

Flake went on to call for a one-week delay to allow the FBI to investigate the sexual misconduct claims against Kavanaugh.

"Jeff Flake has no spine," Bongino said on Saturday.

Bongino said that Senate Democrats needed a delay in Kavanaugh's confirmation to the high court after Sen. Lindsey Graham's impassioned outburst against them on Thursday.

"[Flake] sold out the GOP. Everybody's afraid to say it in some desperate hope that this man's gonna grow a spine."

President Trump subsequently ordered the FBI to conduct the "supplemental" investigation at the request of the Senate Judiciary Committee later on Friday.

As a father and a husband, Kavanaugh's confirmation process has been exhausting, Bongino also said.

"Can you imagine what this guy's going through? I mean this is a genuine American patriot," he said.
