Funny 'Michael Is Now Making Disaster Movies': Gutfeld Riffs on Moore's Latest 'Flop'
Greg Gutfeld reacted to Michigan filmmaker Michael Moore's new, anti-Trump documentary "Fahrenheit 11/9," which tanked during its opening weekend.
The film, a titular play on his anti-Bush film, "Fahrenheit 9/11," opened in eighth place, grossing only $3 million.
"Michael Moore is now making disaster movies... It sank faster than the S.S. Poseidon," he said.
Gutfeld said that hype that Moore's films garner is a product of the media thinking Americans won't see his films "because we're all rubes."
He said Moore's films are "overtly political" -- as opposed to the Hollywood custom of "injecting politics" into movies based on other topics.
Gutfeld called "Fahrenheit 11/9" -- named for the day after Donald Trump's 2016 election -- is a "rejection of Trump and you."
"At least Moore wears his politics on his sleeve," he said, calling the film a "fairy tale for wounded liberals."
