The widow of a fallen Marine said Sunday on Fox & Friends that Nike's ad campaign featuring Colin Kaepernick was upsetting to see, given all of the military members that have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Nike recently announced a multiyear agreement with Kaepernick, including video ads and billboards featuring his image, and a contribution to the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback's Know Your Rights charity.

The company drew immediate backlash after releasing a print ad that stated, "Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything."

"My husband did sacrifice absolutely everything for the flag, for the country and for all that it stood for," Brittany Jacobs said. "To see someone who knelt before it be able to say that he sacrificed everything? It's hard and it's sad. It's not right."

Her husband, Sgt. Chris Jacobs, served in the Marines for nearly 11 years and was killed in a training accident in 2011.

His wife said Sunday that both of his parents, as well as his grandparents, were Marines too.

"It was in his blood," she said. "He wanted to serve this country. He was so proud to do it."

She also said that her husband would be disappointed at Nike's choice to center it's campaign around someone like Kaepernick.

"There are so many great men and women in this country that have sacrificed everything," Jacobs said. "Colin Kaepernick, he's not one of them."

Jacobs also said Sunday she'd want to invite Nike and Kaepernick to meet her and her son at Arlington National Cemetery "to see what a true sacrifice is."

"See what it is absolutely like to sacrifice everything for something that you believe in."
