In her Opening Statement, Judge Jeanine Pirro said that she actually wants the special counsel's Russia probe to go on.

However, Pirro said, that's because it will each day prove of collusion between Russia and former President Obama's administration.

"The truth is, every day we get to watch the evidence of the framing of Donald Trump exposed."

She referenced a story by The Hill's John Solomon, which discussed "an unmistakable effort to push the Russia investigation closer to Donald Trump’s inner circle."

Judicial Watch Sues DOJ for Communications Between Ohr, Steele & Fusion GPS

In his piece, Solomon wrote that former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr met with Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson shortly after Trump's election.

Ohr's wife, Nellie, had worked for Fusion GPS.

"Two days later, Ohr -- [Deputy Attorney General] Rod Rosenstein's right hand -- takes the information from Fusion back to the DOJ and gives it to the FBI, setting off the beginning of the Mueller investigation. Now, a Russia collusion criminal investigation."

Pirro said that even after former MI6 agent Christopher Steele was terminated by the FBI for leaking information to the media, he continued to meet and speak with Ohr.

She said there's only one reason Ohr would work so hard to get Steele back into the FBI.

"In order to get the Department of Justice and FBI interested in a new criminal Trump-Russia collusion investigation, it was essential that Steele be back in their good graces."

"So, team Mueller, have at it," Pirro said. "The more you procrastinate and fail to find evidence of Trump-Russia collusion, the more you become hoisted by your own petard."

Her questions to Mueller included if he knew of the communication between Steele and Ohr, if Ohr was actually working for Mueller himself and if he probed the fact that Ohr's wife worked for Fusion GPS.

"Bob, I really think it's time for you to give up your phony investigation and get yourself your own criminal defense attorney," Pirro said.
