Conservative commentator and CRTV host Allie Beth Stuckey dismissed the backlash over her satirical "interview" with New York congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, saying this is another example of the left not being able to take a joke.
The CRTV video, which was widely shared on social media, mixes Stuckey's questions with Ocasio-Cortez's previous answers from an interview with Margaret Hoover on PBS’s "Firing Line."
Ocasio-Cortez, a Democratic socialist who shockingly defeated Rep. Joe Crowley in a primary, was widely panned for the PBS sit-down for criticizing Israel's "occupation" of Palestine and for seemingly misunderstanding how the unemployment rate is determined.

Some on the left called out Stuckey and CRTV for not making it clear that the video was satire and for attempting to embarrass the political newcomer.
Ocasio-Cortez herself tweeted, “Republicans are so scared of me that they’re faking videos and presenting them as real on Facebook because they can’t deal with reality anymore."

On "Fox & Friends First," Stuckey said she has no apologies for the video, arguing she believed viewers would immediately recognize it was satire.
"I might have received some backlash from people who decided to manufacture some faux outrage on the left, but for the most part people appreciated and understood the joke," Stuckey said.
She said socialists like 28-year-old Ocasio-Cortez have made it clear that they don't understand geopolitics or economics, so it's not that surprising that they also don't understand humor either.
Stuckey pointed out that late-night comedians like Jay Leno and Stephen Colbert have made the same type of satirical videos.
