Greg Gutfeld said that more than 800 days away from the 2020 presidential elections, it is apparent that Democrats are still searching for a leader or figure to take on President Donald Trump.

He said most Democrats want a "fresh face" -- agreeing with them himself after analyzing who they have in their bullpen.

"Biden -- he thinks Amtrak is a success," Gutfeld said of the former vice president and Delaware senator, noting that the National Railroad Passenger Corporation has hemorrhaged cash in recent years.

"Hillary [Clinton]... the only thing she wins is ridicule," he said.

"Bernie -- a relic pushing another relic called socialism," he added, saying that Sen. Sanders' platform is akin to the "delicious berries you pick that poison your whole tribe."

Gutfeld said that in the face of those three potential nominees, it is obvious that they are searching for "their own Trump" to replace the "establishment" candidates.

"The guys that despise Trump are now looking for their own Trump," he said. "A punk rock outsider who rejects the establishment and wins."

Gutfeld also commented on the rise of socialist politicians, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a Bronx, N.Y. primary nominee who defeated the number-four House Democrat in the New York State primary.
