A man in Massachusetts turned the front lawn of his home into a patriotic display in honor of Independence Day.

Arthur McCann, of Norwood, transformed his lawn by painting an American flag across the entirety of it using stencils and field paint.

According to FOX 6, the entire project took two hours to complete.

McCann holds a July 4 holiday party each year, and he said that this year he wants to show children attending it what they can do if they put their minds to it.

"Just a little respect for the veterans and to remind people there are still American patriots in this country," McCann said.

McCann's grandfather who served in World War II was a large part of the motivation behind the display, according to FOX 6.
