In his Opening Monologue, Sean Hannity addressed what he called the "rampant, disgusting conspiracy theories" about First Lady Melania Trump's public absence during the end of May and beginning of June.

Hannity said the theories "all came crashing down today" when the first lady showed up at a Washington forum with her husband.

President Donald Trump also tweeted that the "fake news media has been so unfair and vicious to my wife... during her recovery from surgery."

Hannity said President Bill Clinton benefitted from the alleged "two-tiered justice system" that has allegedly stymied Republicans like Trump.

"Bill Clinton [then] trashed NBC News for finally asking a tough question [about Monica Lewinsky]," Hannity said. "The rest of the media is 30 years too late."

He said the hardest interview he ever did was with alleged Clinton victim Juanita Broaddrick, who accused the then-Arkansas attorney general of rape.

Hannity said the press gave Clinton a "complete and total pass" until Clinton's wife, Hillary, lost the 2016 election.

"We will never be the mainstream media [on "Hannity"]," he said. "We do care about the American people."
