Fox News contributor Tomi Lahren was harassed by patrons at a Minneapolis restaurant over the weekend, including having a drink thrown on her.

Lahren said she was enjoying brunch with her parents after doing a show the night before when a person threw a glass of water at her. The group of people, who were around her age, then started chanting profanity, Lahren said Wednesday on "Fox & Friends."

Lahren said she's experienced this kind of treatment before and she's used to it, but it's still very disheartening.

"This was something that was embarrassing for me and embarrassing for my family. At the end of the day, I'm a person too. And I do get humiliated and embarrassed just like anyone else," Lahren said. "But I'm tough, my family's tough. We can handle it."

She said it's fine to disagree with someone's political opinions and express disagreements civilly, but it's simply wrong to use physical actions to make a point.

"It's really disheartening. But again, I'm tough, I can handle it," Lahren said.

Videos of the incident made the rounds on social media, leading to words of support even from people who disagree with Lahren on politics.

"There are people that normally detest me and they're coming to my defense, at least on this incident," Lahren said.

"So maybe moving forward, those that thought it was funny to throw water at me or antagonize others with my viewpoints, maybe they'll see that's not the cool thing to do."

The segment even drew a supportive tweet from President Trump:
