Israeli Ambassador: The Days of 'Israel-Bashing' at the UN Are Over

President Trump reacted Monday to the new "dramatic" intelligence revealed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that accused Iran of "brazenly lying" about its nuclear weapons program.

Trump said that he knew Iran was not "sitting back idly" and that he also knew the country has not been complying with the deal.

Netanyahu said the information -- which was obtained within the past 10 days -- shows Iran moved materials to a secret location, proving the country is not complying with the nuclear deal it signed in 2015.

"In seven years, [the Iran nuclear agreement] will have expired and Iran is free to go ahead and create nuclear weapons. That's not acceptable," the president said during a joint press conference with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.

President Trump -- who has repeatedly expressed a desire to exit the agreement -- said that if he were to pull out of the deal because of the new information, it would send "the right message" to North Korea as he prepares to enter talks with Kim Jong Un.

He also said that a decision on what to do in response to the accusations will be made "on or before" the May 12 deadline to either waive sanctions against Iran or exit the deal.

"We'll see what happens. I'm not telling you what I'm doing, but a lot of people think they know, and on or before [May 12] we'll make a decision," he said.

"That doesn't mean we won't negotiate a real agreement," Trump added, saying that the deal is "an agreement that wasn't approved by too many people."

"I think, if anything, what's happening today and what's happened over the last little while and what we've learned has really shown that I've been 100 percent right," he said.
