'She Probably Can't Believe It': Trump Blasts Russia 'Witch Hunt' at Appearance With Merkel
President Trump said Friday a new House Intelligence Committee report proves there was no collusion or coordination between his campaign and Russia.
Speaking alongside German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Trump labeled the investigation "a witch hunt," calling the report "strong, powerful [and] conclusive."
"It's a witch hunt that's all it is. There was no collusion with Russia, if you could believe this one. She probably can't believe it. Who can?" he asked, looking over to Merkel.
Trump said he was "honored" by the report, arguing that it "forcefully" highlighted the need for an investigation into the Clinton campaign and Russia.
"What we really should do is get on with our lives," said Trump, moving on to the "very positive things" happening with North Korea and South Korea.
The Republican-authored report -- released over Democratic objections -- was heavily redacted by the intelligence community.
The committee “found no evidence that the Trump campaign colluded, coordinated, or conspired with the Russian government.” The committee did, however, “find poor judgment and ill-considered actions by the Trump and Clinton campaign.”
