It’s time for Final Thoughts.

Oh, the Oscars … the 90th annual Academy Awards - a celebration of film, art, fashion and culture.

Yeah, right. Let’s be honest: Sunday night was nothing more than a bunch of Hollywood liberals gathered in a fancy theater to dedicate yet another award show to their self-obsession and blatant hypocrisy.

It's sad. These shows were once a great escape for middle-class America. No longer. Gauging by the low ratings, it would appear many of you had better things to do than watch.

I don’t blame you. After all, why waste brain cells watching Jimmy Kimmel and friends celebrate themselves and their liberalism? No thanks.

See, Kimmel vowed to keep the award show positive. And it was … positively the saddest display of hypocrisy since, well, last year’s Academy Awards.

It’s quite ironic. These Hollywood liberal elites are paid ridiculous amounts of money to read other people’s words, and pretend to be something they are not. It’s shouldn’t take much effort, since they do it every day.

Imagine an industry that spends a third of the year congratulating itself, while at the same time denouncing so called greed and entitlement. And yeah, nothing says “equality” like $100,000 goodie bags, lavish after-parties and gowns that cost more than many Americans will make in a lifetime.

These elite leftists preach about inclusion, bridges, open borders - and yet surround their fancy award shows and parties with fences, layers of security and armed - yes ARMED - security details to keep the rest of us out.

They get on stage and lecture about gun control, immigration policy, equality and tolerance, like we are a bunch of idiotic children in search of their expert opinions. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The entertainment industry is dripping with hypocrisy. And the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements? Really?!  More like, “we all knew,” and “we let it continue for decades until it became socially convenient and ‘on trend’ to speak out.”

How about this, Hollywood: If you won for a movie or role that glorified guns, violence, making money, or sexualized women, I expect you to forfeit your award. Otherwise, your whining is nothing more than self-righteous grandstanding.

You talk the talk. Real smooth - but you never walk the walk. Then you have the audacity to whine and complain about President Trump and conservative values?

Your little award shows are nothing more than a celebration of closed-mindedness, exclusion, and fake, phony humanitarianism. Everyone in that theater either thinks just like you do, or is too afraid to disagree.

It’s actually quite pathetic. But hey, those are just my Final Thoughts. Feel free to disagree.
