ICE Director Hits Back at California Dems: 'I'm Enforcing Laws That They Enacted'

Man Whose Son Was Killed by Illegal Immigrant Fights CA Sanctuary Law

Katie Pavlich slammed the mayor of Oakland, California, after she warned illegal immigrants that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) could soon be conducting raids in the area.

Mayor Libby Schaaf (D) shared the warning — which she said she “learned from multiple credible sources” — in a press release on Saturday, later claiming it was her "ethical obligation" to pass along the information.

On "America's Newsroom" on Monday, Pavlich, editor and Fox News contributor, said Schaaf is being dishonest by not acknowledging that ICE is targeting criminal illegal immigrants, not individuals who are merely undocumented.

She said Schaaf is also putting ICE agents in danger by warning criminals of imminent raids.

"Their job is already dangerous enough. They're going up against hard, criminal aliens who have been convicted of things like murder, rape, criminal aliens who have been deported multiple times and come back into the United States, criminal aliens who are part of transnational gangs like MS-13 and international drug cartels from Mexico," Pavlich said.

Despite that, Pavlich said, Schaaf somehow thought it was her "ethical obligation" to give these dangerous criminals a heads-up, instead of being on the side of law enforcement.

"It is unacceptable, disgusting and it puts their lives at risk."

Pavlich then clashed with former Clinton adviser Richard Goodstein, who said the country needs immigration to keep the economy strong.

"We need criminal aliens who have been convicted of rape and murder operating in our communities?" she responded.

Goodstein said that is an exaggeration in order to "get everyone's heartstrings pulled."
