Ed Henry reacted to a CNN post that claimed "Kim Jong Un's Sister Is Stealing the Show at the Winter Olympics," calling it "disgusting" and "absurd."

The story described how Kim Yo Jong attended the opening days of the Pyeongchang Games in South Korea as the representative for her dictator brother’s regime in the North.

"With a smile, a handshake and a warm message in South Korea's presidential guest book, Kim Yo Jong has struck a chord with the public just one day into the Pyeongchang Games," the story read.

CNN said the daughter of Kim Jong Il and his second wife, Ko Yong Hui, Kim Yo Jong would be "favored to win gold" if "diplomatic dance" were an event.

"This is disgusting," Henry said. "[CNN is] sucking up to the sister of this brutal dictator."

Henry and "MediaBuzz" host Howard Kurtz added that the CNN story did indeed describe some of the atrocities committed by the Kim regime.

"It's absurd," he said, remarking that the outlet could conceivably run a similar story, should a cousin of the Kims "open a Starbucks in Pyongyang."

Kurtz said Kim Yo Jong, 30, is in charge of Pyongyang's "Propaganda and Agitation Department."

He added that the Washington Post also entered the controversy by publishing a piece with a headline fashioned from a quote from one of their sources.

"The Ivanka Trump of North Korea..." the headline read, Kurtz reported.

North Korea's 90-year-old nominal head of state, Kim Yong Nam, also accompanied Kim Yo Jong to the games.

Vice President Mike Pence, who attended events with South Korean President Moon Jae In, largely ignored the presence of the Kims.
