Gutierrez: Let Trump Build 'Offensive' Wall If 800K DACA Recipients Stay Protected

Jesse Watters said Saturday that the previous government shutdown in 2013 cost the U.S. economy $24 billion.

Watters said on "Watters World" that figure is almost equal to what it would cost to fund President Trump's border wall with Mexico.

"Maybe we could just save the money so Mexico wouldn't have to pay for the wall," he said.

Watters slammed Democrats for "putting illegal aliens over citizens once again" by demanding that DACA continuance be attached to any spending bill.

"The Senate Democrats refuse to play ball," he said, noting that even though Republicans control the Senate, they lack the requisite 60-vote plurality.

He also criticized Democrats for making our military continue to serve on active duty without pay.
