President Trump addressed the 45th annual March for Life on Friday, calling it "a movement born out of love."

"You love your families, you love your neighbors, you love our nation and you love every child — born and unborn — because you believe every life is sacred, that every child is a precious gift from God."

"Because of you, tens of thousands of Americans have been born and reached their full God-given potential," the president told the assembled crowd of anti-abortion activists.

His message from outside the White House was broadcast on a large video screen to the crowd at the National Mall.

The president was introduced by last year's keynote speaker, Vice President Mike Pence, who called Trump the "most pro-life president in American history."

"Under my administration, we will always defend the very first right in the Declaration of Independence, and that is the right to life," said Trump.

The president touted his commitment to religious liberty and his reinstatement of the Mexico City Policy, which bans U.S. government funding for international organizations that perform abortions or provide support for abortions.
