MSNBC host Joe Scarborough on Thursday called out the mainstream media for its "reflexive" anti-Trump bias during a podcast interview with Katie Couric.

"The entire mainstream media, we are reflexively anti-Trump on all things," Scarborough said.

"We're over our skis and it's going to hurt us," Scarborough's "Morning Joe" co-host and fiancée Mika Brzezinski said.

On "Hannity," Ari Fleischer, Fox News contributor and former White House press secretary under President George W. Bush, said the press has been anti-Republican for decades, and that's particularly true in their coverage of Trump.

He noted a study from the Columbia Journalism Review that found journalists donated $382,000 to Hillary Clinton's campaign in 2016, compared to just $16,000 to Trump.

Media reporter Joe Concha said "Morning Joe" is possibly the most anti-Trump program on television, but they hardly ever criticize him on policy.

He pointed out that Scarborough suggested on his program earlier this week that Trump has early onset dementia.

"It's 'Mean Girls' every day," Concha said. "'Mean Girls' is a movie about high school girls. The difference is the hosts of 'Morning Joe' are adults in their 50s. We need to raise the discourse in this country."
