'It's That Bad': Trump Book Author Recalls WH Visits, Rebuffs Criticism
Author Michael Wolff told NBC News that his book "Fire and Fury" is meant to be a reader's "view from the couch" in the White House to all of the happenings around them.
Anchor Chuck Todd noted that the book showed the president in a negative light at times, and asked if Wolff left out any more positive incidents or discoveries.
"If I left out anything, it's probably stuff that was even more damning. It's that bad - it's an extraordinary moment in time," Wolff, author of "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House," said.
"The real intention of this book is to have readers sit with me on the couch and watch what's going on in the White House," the Paterson, N.J., native said.
"I have no particular politics when it comes to Donald Trump. This is really all about human nature," he added. "I tried to be unobtrusive."
I’ve had to put up with the Fake News from the first day I announced that I would be running for President. Now I have to put up with a Fake Book, written by a totally discredited author. Ronald Reagan had the same problem and handled it well. So will I!

Michael Wolff is a total loser who made up stories in order to sell this really boring and untruthful book. He used Sloppy Steve Bannon, who cried when he got fired and begged for his job. Now Sloppy Steve has been dumped like a dog by almost everyone. Too bad! https://t.co/mEeUhk5ZV9

Wolff said he didn't seek to legitimize any agenda by writing his book and instead found his time at the White House "an extraordinary moment in time."
He also reacted to fallout following published quotes attributed to former White House adviser Steve Bannon.
Wolff said Bannon appeared "deeply concerned" about Trump’s ability to govern. "Steve is a man of very clear beliefs and principles," he said. "He made Donald Trump president."
Regarding criticism from Trump's grown children, Wolff said it was clear that Don Jr. and the others are "tolerant [of Trump Sr.] but have no illusions.
Your impression is 100% correct Jake. I have never & would ever say such a thing (I doubt any others did either) I’ve seen my father do amazing things throughout my life & ALWAYS be successful. Anything he does, he does well. For someone to say I said otherwise is libelous & vile https://t.co/iSbW2q8Ar0

Strange that whenever @realDonaldTrump is #winning the media is able to find some shiny anti-Trump object to cling to (regardless of credibility) while conveniently forgetting
