GOP Strategist: Trump Well on His Way to 'Draining the Swamp'

President Trump Photobombs Shot of Barron and Two Grandchildren

President Donald Trump predicted that 2018 will be a "fantastic" year, and Michelle Malkin wants to see his administration make constructing a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border a top priority.

Malkin, a political commentator and CRTV host, said on "Fox & Friends" on Monday that Trump is aware of the obstacles he will face from Congress and the establishment in both parties as he looks to enact his agenda in 2018.

She pointed out that there is now a strong push in Congress for a fix for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which provides a level of amnesty to certain undocumented immigrants, many of whom came to the U.S. as children.

"I am one of those unrepentant children of legal immigrants to this country who absolutely supports everything this president is doing to put immigration enforcement and border security first, period," Malkin said.

She noted that there is also talk in Congress about a multi-billion dollar infrastructure deal, and how that should be the administration's focus in 2018.

"President Trump, until the end of his first term, has one infrastructure priority: the wall, the wall, the wall," Malkin said.
