Laura Ingraham Blasts Vanity Fair 'Hit Piece' on Melania Trump

Ingraham Rips Reaction to Royal Engagement: 'Must We Put Our Racial Hangups on the Happy Couple?'

Laura Ingraham criticized what she saw as the double standard between how First Lady Melania Trump has been treated compared to Michelle Obama.

Ingraham said Trump is "gracious, generous and beautiful, inside and out," and that her decorations in the White House are the best she's ever seen.

She said that some in the media have mocked Trump's Slovenian accent and said she can't deck the halls for Christmas properly.

Meanwhile, she said Michelle Obama was fawned over by the media, replaying clips from interviews with Barbara Walters and Oprah Winfrey.

"The real nightmare is the double standard [that is] so obviously routine, so acceptable where conservative women are concerned," she said.

Ingraham added that another former first lady, Hillary Clinton, criticized women who voted for Trump's husband as "voting against their values."
