Sportswriter Outraged That Washington 'R*dskins' Will Host Thanksgiving Game

Service members deployed over Thanksgiving got a special video message from President Trump, assuring them that those back home are thinking of them with gratitude.

"Everybody's talking about the progress you've made in the last few months," the president told Army troops in Afghanistan, whom he called "brave, incredible fighters."

"We're not fighting anymore to just walk around. We're fighting to win."

Also on the call were Marines in Iraq, Navy sailors aboard the U.S.S. Monterey, and an Air Force squadron in Turkey.

"We're being talked about again as an armed forces," Trump told the troops, citing progress driving back ISIS.

"We have to let you win. They weren't letting you win before."

The president said he knows it is hard to be away from family during the holidays, but he assured the troops that "everybody in this country is watching, and they're seeing positive reports for a change instead of the neutral and negative reports."

"You're fighting for something real. You're fighting for something good."

"Thank God for you," the president said before ejecting reporters so he could talk privately with the troops.
