One in three adults will intentionally avoid touching on politics this Thanksgiving and Christmas, a Reuters/Ipsos poll reports.

The Nov. 8-13 poll found that 31 percent of adults “will be intentionally avoiding political conversations with family and friends” over the holidays.

Over half of those polled said politics was one of their "least favorite" conversation topics for the holidays.

Trump supporters and Clinton voters were equally reluctant to talk politics over family meals.

Around half of people said they do not expect to talk politics over the holidays at all. Women more than men said they intended to avoid the topic. and younger voters were more willing to engage than older voters.
