Breitbart executive chairman and former White House adviser Steve Bannon said he could find agreement with NFL players kneeling under certain conditions.

"Take a knee - at night. Every night. And, thank God in heaven that President Donald J. Trump is president of the United States," Bannon said.

"He has saved this country so much grief. He has done such a tremendous job," he said.

Bannon, a Navy veteran, sided with Trump in finding kneeling during the national anthem inappropriate.

He also took aim at establishment Republicans, saying he supports Judge Roy Moore over Sen. Luther Strange (R-Ala.) because the former is not being heavily bankrolled by the GOP.

Bannon said Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and others raised $30 million to "destroy" Moore.

He said Moore was endorsed by fellow Trump supporters Laura Ingraham, radio host and former Reagan staffer Mark Levin, and commentator Michael Savage.

"The elites hold me in contempt. I wear their contempt as a badge of honor," Bannon said.
