During a rally for Sen. Luther Strange (R-Ala.), President Trump criticized past presidents for failing to stifle the threat from North Korea.

"We can't have a mad man out there shooting rockets all over the place," Trump said of Kim Jong Un. "Rocket Man should've been handled a long time ago."

Trump blamed President Clinton for failing to solve the North Korean problem with his diplomacy with Kim Jong-Il, the despot's late father.

He also blamed President Obama, but added that he "won't mention the Republicans."

"This should've been handled by now, but I'm going to handle it because we have to handle it. We really have no choice," Trump said.

"[You're] talking about a massive weapon exploding over the Pacific Ocean, which causes tremendous calamity. Where the plume goes, so goes cancer, so goes tremendous problem," he said.

"Little Rocket Man is watching us like never before," he said, crediting Chinese President Xi Jinping for curtailing North Korea's transactions with Chinese banks.
